About this role
Lead comprehensive design reviews and program oversight for Westinghouse's new nuclear power plant projects. Direct civil/structural engineering coordination across Owner's Engineer partnerships, ensure design-to-field alignment, and report to Senior Manager of Global Engineering Integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and constructively challenge design approaches to ensure optimal, cost-effective outcomes
- Lead coordination and integration with Owner's Engineer, including kickoff execution and ongoing alignment
- Establish and lead governance cadence for civil/structural engineering forums, including weekly and critical issue meetings
- Orchestrate engagement of WEC structural engineering subject matter experts and ensure design evaluations are completed and signed off
- Oversee civil/structural construction oversight to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution
- Lead routine field walkdowns to verify compliance with engineering requirements, specifications, and quality standards
- Drive design review sessions to surface risks, make decisions, and close actions
- Deliver executive-ready reporting on project status, risks, issues, and performance metrics
- Participate directly in site meetings and inspections to ensure alignment across construction leadership and engineering stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Structural Engineering; PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Westinghouse Project Manager qualification
Location, schedule, and travel
Columbia, SC facility; hybrid role (on-site 2 days per week)
