About this role
Manufacturing & Equipment Reliability Project Manager at Westinghouse's Manning, SC fabrication facility. Manage welding and machining processes for complex nuclear components and specialized tooling deployed at nuclear power plants worldwide. Drive equipment performance, reliability, and innovation across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- —Manage equipment and tooling performance and reliability; track operational and financial metrics
- —Gain detailed familiarization with welding and machining tooling designs, operation, and industry trends
- —Analyze performance data to prioritize and develop solutions for equipment and tooling needs
- —Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop new tooling and enhancements to existing equipment
- —Partner with manufacturing leads, equipment leads, and vendors for fabrication and improvement opportunities
- —Develop cost estimates, schedules, and proposals for manufacturing and tooling development; secure funding for innovation projects
- —Manage high-complexity projects or portfolios of medium to high-complexity projects
- —Lead cross-functional teams across Project Controls, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and shop personnel
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or equivalent with specialized welding and machining background. 5 years of Project Management experience. 5 years of Engineering/supervisory experience and 2+ years of technical field/shop experience in components, tooling design, and manufacturing for nuclear and fossil power plants. Experience with Safety and Non-Safety Related Quality Assurance Programs and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements. Familiarity with automated and manual welding processes, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), and applicable ASME code sections. Knowledge of relevant code cases for nuclear power plant construction and repair, boiler and pressure vessels, and Heat Exchangers.
