- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of related experience in electric motor design or manufacture
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and test processes for low and medium voltage AC induction motors

Principal Engineer at Westinghouse overseeing electric motor repair, manufacturing, and remanufacturing projects for nuclear facility equipment. Provides technical leadership on motor specifications, testing protocols, and quality assurance for safety-critical components.
Responsibilities
- Create electric motor repair plans, drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents
- Provide technical leadership to onsite shop personnel during inspection, repair, and manufacturing of motors
- Support bid and proposal process as technical input lead for manufacture of new replacement motors or remanufactures, including stator core and winding system replacement
- Witness motor electrical testing at multiple steps through manufacture and rewind process to ensure test specifications are achieved
- Apply technical expertise to disposition non-conformances and project documents generated by suppliers and internal operations
- Advise equipment owners (customers) on inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large electric motors
- Work as part of cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, technicians, and supplier teams
- Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities
