About this role
Millwright role at Westinghouse nuclear facility performing installation, repair, rebuilding, and maintenance of machinery and material-handling equipment. Reports to Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities Operations.
Responsibilities
- —Receive work assignments and execute from sketches, prints, drawings, and supervisor instructions
- —Disconnect and reconnect electrical services up to 120V single phase A.C.
- —Disconnect and reconnect tubing, piping, hoses, gauges, and valves up to 2" diameter
- —Perform incidental machining on parts to complete machine repairs
- —Check proper function of machinery and equipment after repair work
- —Diagnose machine function to avoid major breakdowns
- —Perform predictive and preventive maintenance activities
- —Repair pumps including mechanical vacuum pumps, gear pumps, and hydraulic pumps
- —Repair, fabricate, and install brackets, guards, hangers, and supports
- —Support vibration analysis function by performing data collection activities
- —Perform overhead crane inspections and repairs
- —Conform to all safety requirements and use lock-and-tag system
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; Journeyman Millwright or Mechanical Craft Certification; five (5) years of Mechanical Repair Craft experience with minimum three (3) years in an industrial maintenance environment
Desired
Diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial maintenance
Location
100% onsite at Blairsville, PA
