About this role

New graduate mechanical engineer role at Westinghouse designing, testing, and qualifying nuclear reactor equipment components and pressure boundary systems. You will develop technical solutions to complex engineering problems in support of clean energy nuclear solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate installation, fabrication, testing, and qualification of new repairs or replacements for nuclear equipment
  • Apply engineering techniques to assess and qualify pressure boundary components and reactor internals
  • Address degraded conditions and deviations in existing operating equipment with recommended resolutions
  • Perform engineering calculations to support equipment and process designs
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems in nuclear systems
  • Ensure compliance with NRC safety and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare technical reports and present technical information to stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Desired

Working knowledge of FEA and ANSYS software; experience with nuclear equipment design or qualification preferred
