About this role
Manipulator Crane Operator (MCO) responsible for safe operation of specialized crane machinery at nuclear power plants. This role requires expertise in lifting and positioning heavy loads during construction and maintenance operations while maintaining strict nuclear safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- —Operate manipulator cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and structures for nuclear plant construction and maintenance
- —Follow strict nuclear sector safety and quality procedures, ensuring secure load handling to prevent accidents
- —Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance of cranes to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- —Coordinate with construction and maintenance teams on lifting operations, accounting for technical constraints and nuclear safety requirements
- —Respond quickly to emergencies and unforeseen events, executing established safety protocols to protect the site
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent
- —Strong understanding of crane machinery and heavy equipment operation
- —Knowledge of technical specifications for safe heavy-load operations
- —Prior experience in nuclear facility operations or construction
