About this role
Operate cranes for construction and maintenance of nuclear power plants, safely handling heavy loads and equipment critical to facility operations. Reports to Senior Manager of Resource Management.
Responsibilities
- —Operate various cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and structures during nuclear power plant construction and maintenance
- —Follow strict safety and quality procedures specific to the nuclear sector, ensuring loads are handled securely to prevent accidents
- —Perform regular inspections and maintenance of cranes to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- —Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate lifting operations, considering technical constraints and safety requirements
- —React quickly to unforeseen events or emergencies, following established protocols to ensure site safety
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; strong understanding of crane machinery and technical specifications; ability to conduct safe operations of heavy loads; experience in the nuclear field
Desired
Nuclear facility experience; familiarity with nuclear safety protocols and procedures
Location
Onsite at nuclear power plant facilities
