Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Legal, or related discipline; OR 4+ years of material handling, warehousing, inventory, logistics, material planning, purchasing, or related supply chain experience. Good computer skills with IBM Maximo, CAMBAR, and Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to work independently and problem-solve material issues with minimal guidance. Ability to communicate directly with customers on materials management matters. Good understanding of materials management processes.
About this role
Intermediate-level Materials Management Specialist supporting nuclear utility operations and construction at Entergy Mississippi. Manages inbound/outbound material requests, warehouse operations, inventory control, and coordinates between supply chain, warehousing, and field operations teams for reactor support infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily workload within Command WMS, reviewing Material Requests and completing or backordering requests as needed
- Oversee all backorder Material Requests and support cycle counting processes
- Analyze, edit, and schedule jobs for warehouse staff picks and communicate material shortages to customers
- Provide customer interface and support for T&D storekeepers, managers, engineers, and operations coordinators
- Troubleshoot material issues in warehouse processes and resolve problems with warehouse and Purchasing & Inventory Management staff
- Monitor daily cycle counts and quality control of EDC (Equipment Distribution Center) processes
- Manage EDC transportation and maintain equipment utilization and maintenance logs
- Actively promote safety behaviors and create a safe work environment; monitor suppliers for safety concerns
- Perform assigned storm role duties through Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS) and serve as Supply Chain Site Material Supply Lead during incidents
- Deliver and document savings through inventory optimization, material transfers, and cost avoidance
- Ensure compliance with safety, diversity, document retention, and regulatory requirements
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of energy industry supply chain experience.
