Manager Engineering, Programs
About this role
Manager of engineering programs at Constellation's nuclear facilities, providing advanced technical expertise and engineering leadership for nuclear plant operations. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with strategic oversight of short and long-term technical initiatives that directly impact site performance.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Serve as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Perform engineering and technical tasks applying general engineering principles
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures and codes
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science
- —OR Professional Engineer License or Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including minimum 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —People management experience
- —Experience in piping, code compliance, regulations, ASME, pressure vessels, snubbers
- —Knowledge of nuclear regulators and regulatory applicability
- —Professional Engineer Registration
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
Location
Nuclear plant site-based role with potential emergency response and outage coverage duties requiring on-call availability.
