Manager, Engineering Programs
About this role
Lead advanced technical and engineering problem-solving for nuclear plant operations at Constellation, the nation's largest clean energy producer. This role requires an experienced engineering leader to develop, manage, and implement critical engineering programs while serving as a technical expert to the engineering team. You will oversee specialized programs including Valves, Inservice Testing, Appendix J Leak Rate Testing/Inservice Inspection, Fire Protection, Vessel Internals, and Piping and Snubbers.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical leadership and expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Assign and oversee technical tasks delegated to the team
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- —Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or comply with code and regulatory changes
- —Oversee engineering programs including Valves, Inservice Testing, Appendix J Leak Rate Testing/Inservice Inspection, Fire Protection, Vessel Internals, and Piping and Snubbers
- —Fulfill emergency response duties, department coverage, and support outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science; OR Professional Engineer License; OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, and pass favorable medical examination/testing as applicable

- —Previous engineering leadership or managerial experience
- —Strong knowledge of engineering programs
- —Experience with oversight and implementation of engineering programs at a nuclear power plant
- —Professional Engineer Registration
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
