About this role
Manager Engineering, Electrical at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant operations. Provides advanced technical expertise and engineering leadership on complex electrical systems, equipment, and regulatory compliance. Acts as subject matter expert to engineering teams on design, analysis, and problem-solving for nuclear facility electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement electrical engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Deliver technical consultation as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Provide advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations
- —Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science
- —OR Professional Engineer License OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements and pass favorable medical examination/testing as applicable
Desired
- —Supervisory or managerial experience
- —Electrical nuclear design background
- —Knowledge of high voltage transmission and distribution equipment
- —Knowledge of protective relaying design
Location
Onsite at nuclear plant facility with emergency response and on-call duties
