Manager, Commercial Program Management
About this role
Manager, Commercial Program Management at Kairos Power supports execution of strategic commercial and partnership initiatives for a nuclear energy technology company developing fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactors (KP-FHR). You will manage end-to-end program lifecycles, drive cross-functional collaboration between commercial, engineering, and operations teams, and deliver business outcomes critical to commercializing advanced nuclear technology. This role bridges the gap between Kairos Power's reactor development roadmap and market opportunities.
Responsibilities
- —Lead end-to-end commercial program execution for assigned initiatives: define objectives, establish timelines, allocate resources, and build program management frameworks aligned with reactor commercialization goals
- —Ensure timely completion of program milestones and commitments; monitor KPIs and prepare regular status reports to leadership on initiative impact
- —Proactively identify and mitigate risks; escalate technical or commercial blockers affecting program success
- —Manage proposal development from opportunity identification through submission; develop data-driven proposals that strengthen market position for advanced reactor technology
- —Support creation, implementation, and optimization of partnership programs (utility partners, supply chain partners, regulatory bodies) aligned with business strategy
- —Maintain and strengthen customer and partner relationships through structured feedback loops and CRM systems; evaluate trends and emerging opportunities
- —Foster cross-functional alignment between commercial, engineering, and leadership; coordinate meetings and deliver program updates
- —Enhance CRM functionality, data quality, user adoption, and system effectiveness to support customer engagement and partnership management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- —5+ years of program management, project management, customer/partner management, or related field
- —Demonstrated success building cross-functional relationships and influencing outcomes through collaboration
- —Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- —Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop creative solutions
- —Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload
- —Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- —Strong business acumen and ability to align work with company and partnership priorities
- —Ability to interpret commercial contracts and agreements to extract milestones and requirements
Desired
- —Master's degree in Business or related field
- —Experience in the energy or nuclear energy sector
- —Direct experience in partner/customer management or customer success roles
- —Experience managing initiatives impacting technology development, supply chain, or cost optimization

Location
Onsite at Alameda, CA headquarters; up to 20% travel required; occasional working weekends and extended hours required
