Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school or PE license is preferred.
- Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred. 2 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is required. 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility is preferred.
- Knowledge of air-operated and motor-operated valves preferred.
- Knowledge of welding and ASME code is preferred.
- An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices, to make timely decisions to support the maintenance teams.
- Technical writing ability, computer knowledge, good communication skills, and good presentation skills are required.
- Project oversight or supervisory experience is desired.
- Behavioral Attributes: Accepts ownership of assigned programs, projects, and tasks.
About this role
Maintenance Engineers are responsible for implementation and support of various maintenance programs; problem identification followed by investigation, evaluation, and resolution; evaluating and implementing industry operating experience; and providing general engineering and technical support to the maintenance teams as needed.
