About this role

Licensing Manager at Oklo applies nuclear regulatory expertise to support engineering development and compliance with U.S. nuclear regulations for advanced fission reactor technologies. You'll work with design engineers to develop licensing documentation for pre-application and NRC license application activities, managing complex regulatory submissions and coordinating with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on novel reactor designs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain licensing document content, programs, and supporting licensing-related products for Oklo's advanced reactor technologies
  • Support project management of licensing activities and deliverables, including submittal of licensing documents, schedules, and milestones
  • Support development of engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components in collaboration with other engineering functional areas
  • Coordinate and interface with design engineers to review technical materials and ensure designs meet 10 CFR 50/52 regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and interface with the NRC on regulatory planning and technical matters
  • Prepare and defend Oklo's licensing positions for areas where existing regulatory framework does not apply or new requirements are needed
  • Prepare and deliver licensing presentations to internal and external organizations
  • Lead resolution of key strategic licensing issues

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR 50, 10 CFR 52, NRC Regulatory Guides, and other NRC regulatory guidance
  • Demonstrated coordination skills and ability to earn trust of team members and management
  • Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to translate technical content clearly for diverse audiences
  • Ability to handle competing objectives and design constraints with conflict resolution skills
