Inventory Strategist – Plant Hatch
About this role
Inventory Strategist supporting Southern Nuclear's Plant Hatch operations. Develop and implement strategic inventory initiatives including optimization, parts sharing, and technology deployment. Balance inventory availability with cost and operational risk across site teams while maintaining Maximo data integrity and compliance with supply chain procedures.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, implement, and monitor strategic inventory initiatives such as inventory optimization, parts sharing, and technology deployment
- —Ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management procedures and partner with Category Managers on materials and warehouse liaison support aligned with sourcing strategy
- —Interface with work management processes including daily operations (POD), refueling, and forced outages; support Outage Control Center and Maintenance Support Center
- —Work with Material Supervisors and other Inventory Strategists to identify stock item criticality, evaluate min/max levels, and maintain Maximo data integrity
- —Support refueling outages including night shift operations and serve on-call duty rotation for Supply Chain fleet
- —Provide training to customers on inventory management and warehouse technology enhancements; collaborate with Materials & Supplies Accounting to resolve inventory discrepancies
Qualifications
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills; working knowledge of inventory analytics and forecasting/modeling concepts; technical proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and Maximo; strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational, time management, planning, and prioritizing skills; ability to perform and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
Desired
Bachelor's degree; previous experience with material management and inventory fundamentals; power generation, plant systems equipment, and maintenance experience; analytical/diagnostic assessment skills; innovative mindset and proactive approach; aptitude for technology.
Location
Plant Hatch, Georgia; on-site role with up to 15% travel requiring overnight stays; on-call duty rotation required.
