Instrumentation & Control System Intern Summer 2026
About this role
Support Westinghouse's Instrumentation & Control Systems engineering team during summer 2026 by contributing to technical product development, design documentation, and prototype testing for nuclear reactor I&C systems. This paid full-time hybrid internship is ideal for engineering students with hands-on experience in hardware design and systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- —Support creation of hardware design documentation including cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics
- —Support prototype testing for new PCB designs
- —Support development of system and hardware design specifications for Instrumentation and Control systems for new plant and upgrade projects
- —Support creation of documentation for procurement and manufacturing
- —Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence
- —Support development of test procedures and execution of functional tests
Qualifications
- —Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
- —Completed sophomore year of college
Location
New Stanton facility; hybrid remote/in-office; full-time summer position; $22.69–$27.50/hour based on experience and qualifications
