Project engineer for Westinghouse Steam Generators Business Unit overseeing chemical cleaning and liquid effluent treatment projects at French nuclear plants. Role combines operational execution, engineering, and project management with responsibility for technical specifications, regulatory compliance, and field supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee chemical cleaning of steam generators and liquid effluent treatment projects across French nuclear plants
- Ensure adherence to nuclear safety, security, radiation protection, environmental, and quality standards
- Develop intervention procedures and technical specifications; establish regulatory compliance requirements
- Manage project schedules, milestones, and logistics (transport, spare parts availability)
- Supervise field installation and mechanical assembly: install/connect hoses and piping, assemble bolted joints to torque specifications, perform system flushing and operational verifications
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Monitor and inspect equipment installations; document intervention reports and maintenance records
- Identify deviations, improvement opportunities, and contribute to lessons learned documentation
- Issue purchase requests and manage inventory, packaging, and tool/material security
- Write final project reports and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and field supervisors
Preferred qualifications
Nuclear-related professional certifications (SCN, RP, CSQ); SAP software experience.
Location, schedule, and travel
Home-based with ~80% travel to French nuclear plant sites and potential international Westinghouse projects; work at heights required.
