About this role
Contract position performing detailed dimensional and visual inspection of nuclear production parts at the Westinghouse Columbia facility. Inspect components to ensure they meet customer specifications, validate supplier documentation against Westinghouse quality standards, and maintain compliance with nuclear industry requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed dimensional and visual inspection of nuclear production parts using standard measurement tools and gages
- Verify and overcheck shipping documents and supplier records packages to ensure accuracy and compliance with Westinghouse expectations
- Read and interpret technical drawings, process information forms, and quality standards to determine dimensional and workmanship requirements
- Review internal and external contract schedules to meet daily production targets
- Document non-conforming material using internal hold system procedures
- Communicate quality issues and discrepancies to appropriate levels of support promptly
Preferred qualifications
2+ years manufacturing or quality inspection experience
Location, schedule, and travel
