Fuels Licensing Manager
About this role
The Fuels Licensing Manager applies nuclear regulatory knowledge to support engineering development and licensing compliance for Oklo's advanced fuel fabrication and recycling technologies. You'll work closely with design engineers and the NRC to develop licensing documentation, interpret regulations, and advance pre-application and license application activities for innovative nuclear fuel systems.
Responsibilities
- —Prepare, review, and maintain licensing document content, programs, and supporting products for fuel fabrication and recycling technologies
- —Plan, organize, and perform complex assignments in a team environment
- —Support project management of licensing activities, deliverables, document submittal, and schedules
- —Develop engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components in coordination with other engineering functional areas
- —Coordinate with design engineers to review technical materials and ensure designs meet regulatory requirements
- —Interface with the NRC on regulatory and planning matters
- —Prepare and defend licensing positions for areas where regulatory framework gaps exist or new guidance is needed
- —Prepare and deliver licensing presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- —Lead resolution of key strategic licensing issues
Qualifications
- —BS in engineering from an accredited college or university, or related experience
- —Knowledge of 10 CFR 70, NRC Regulatory Guides, and other regulatory guidance
- —Demonstrated coordination skills and ability to earn trust of team members and management
- —Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- —Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- —Proven ability to work effectively as a team player

Location
Remote with required travel to Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice quarterly; first two weeks of onboarding required in-person at headquarters.
