Contracts & Procurement Specialist
About this role
Oklo is developing advanced nuclear reactor technology. This role manages the full procurement and contracting lifecycle across engineering, manufacturing, construction, and operations—from supplier engagement through contract administration. You'll ensure regulatory compliance and efficient scaling as the company advances toward fleet deployment.
Responsibilities
- —Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, Task Orders, Purchase Orders, consulting agreements, construction and engineering services contracts)
- —Support commercial negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, liability, insurance, and risk allocation
- —Coordinate contract review and approval with Legal, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Program Management, and executive stakeholders
- —Maintain contract records, amendments, renewals, deliverables, and closeout documentation
- —Develop and improve contracting processes, templates, and workflows
- —Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality requirements, export control regulations, and contractual obligations
- —Track supplier documentation, certifications, quality records, and contractual requirements
- —Serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on procurement and contracting
- —Coordinate cross-functional support with Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Legal Studies, or related field. 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, commercial management, or supply chain operations. Demonstrated experience drafting, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements and purchase orders across multiple spend categories. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired
Experience supporting engineering services, manufacturing, construction, EPC, or industrial projects. Background in nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industries. Familiarity with quality assurance, safety-related procurement, or NQA-1 environments. Experience with procurement/contract lifecycle management or ERP systems (Coupa, Ironclad, SAP, Oracle, Ariba). Supplier management and performance initiatives experience. Knowledge of commercial risk assessment and contract negotiation strategies. Experience in rapidly growing organizations or large-scale project execution.
Location
Santa Clara, CA (preferred) or remote within the United States. Reports to Senior Procurement Manager.
