About this role
Senior Fitter role at Westinghouse's Monfalcone, Italy nuclear fabrication facility. You will position, align, fabricate, and assemble metal components (shells, heads, nozzles) for nuclear reactor structures in a highly regulated environment, including work in Clean Condition Rooms (CCR). Report to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager.
Responsibilities
Position, align, and assemble metal components using hand tools and equipment according to engineering drawings and layout specifications
Verify conformity of assembled and prepared parts against drawings and technical requirements using measuring instruments
Read and interpret technical documentation (drawings, assembly sequences, WPS) to assemble fabricated structures and prepare joints for welding
Handle and position manufactured parts manually or using lifting equipment (hoists, overhead cranes)
Perform shaping, cutting, chamfering, grinding, drilling, and bending activities required for component assembly
Assemble components in Clean Condition Rooms (CCR) when applicable
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards related to safety, quality, risk, and security
Qualifications
Diploma from a professional school or technical high school
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fitter
Italian and/or English fluency
Location
100% onsite, Monfalcone, Italy; full-time individual contributor position
