About this role

Financial Analyst role (Levels II, III, or Lead) supporting nuclear station operations at Entergy's Jackson, Mississippi location. You'll provide financial expertise to support maintenance planning and operational decisions, monitor financial performance against regulatory and operational objectives, and drive accountability through accurate analysis and clear communication to station leadership and field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert financial advice to support timely decision-making regarding station maintenance events and capital projects
  • Monitor and analyze financial results, proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting profitability and regulatory compliance
  • Communicate financial performance clearly to drive accountability across the organization
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial activity at the site by monitoring and maintaining key financial functions
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop financial budgets aligned with station operational requirements and company regulatory objectives
  • Work cross-functionally with field colleagues to gather information vital to financial analysis and deliverables
  • Employ financial modeling and analytical skills to manipulate large, unstructured datasets in support of ad hoc operational and strategic analysis

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field (for Analyst II level); 2+ years finance/accounting/project development experience for Analyst II (or 6+ years without degree); 4+ years experience for Analyst III (or 8+ years without degree); 5+ years experience for Lead level (or 9+ years without degree). Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Expert analytical capabilities including manipulation of large datasets in Excel, Access, or SQL. Understanding of GAAP, financial reporting methodologies, and financial theory. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to analyze complex problems and handle multiple time-sensitive projects.

CPA, CFA, PE or similar professional certifications; MBA (particularly for Lead level); commitment to excellence and timeliness; strong team player mentality; proactive approach to identifying performance improvement opportunities; strategic, forward-thinking mindset; ability to distill unstructured data into logical, concise summaries.

Location

Hybrid position based in Jackson, Mississippi; up to 25% travel; Professional (non-bargaining unit) classification.
