About this role

Oklo Isotopes seeks a Facility Operations Specialist to support daily operations at its Idaho Radioisotopes Laboratory in Idaho Falls. This onsite, cross-functional role provides essential support across operations, maintenance, radiological protection, security, and administrative functions for U.S. radioisotope production.

Responsibilities

  • Provide auxiliary operations support to daily facility activities in accordance with approved procedures
  • Support routine operation evolutions, maintenance coordination, and implementation
  • Perform radiological protection support functions including radiological surveys, access control, contamination monitoring, and radiation protection documentation
  • Execute designated security functions including access control, monitoring, and compliance with site security requirements
  • Perform administrative and programmatic support duties including recordkeeping, procedure use support, work tracking, and coordination of onsite activities
  • Operate material handling and support equipment (forklifts, cranes, lifts, carts) in accordance with training and safety requirements
  • Support industrial safety programs, hazard controls, and housekeeping to maintain a safe work environment
  • Assist with logistics, material receipt, staging, storage, accountability, and facility readiness activities
  • Support facility upgrades including equipment installation, setup, and oversight of third-party contractors for confinement and HVAC work
  • Respond to abnormal or emergent conditions in support roles as directed by operations leadership
  • Maintain qualifications, training, and certifications required to support assigned functions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work onsite and perform physically demanding tasks including standing, lifting, and working in industrial environments
  • Ability to perform cross-functional duties across operations, radiological protection, security, and administrative functions
  • Forklift and/or material handling equipment experience or ability to qualify

Desired

  • Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent experience
  • Previous radioisotope research and test facility experience
  • Project management experience with diligent and organized work style
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical content
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative startup environment
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture
