Required qualifications
- ENSAM (École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers) student or equivalent engineering program enrollment
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle concepts
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering: mechanical engineering, electronics, automation/control, industrial computing, instrumentation, embedded sensors
- Proficiency in English for technical communication and presentations
About this role
ENSAM apprenticeship supporting development of a robotic inspection system for nuclear and industrial environments. You'll work on a mechatronic platform (command station, mobile robot, video system, embedded sensors) progressing from technical contributor to junior project manager over three years, using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to define requirements, architecture, and interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Capture stakeholder needs and translate into clear, measurable, verifiable system requirements
- Develop and maintain SysML-based architecture models (Context Diagrams, Block Definition Diagrams, Internal Block Diagrams, Product Breakdown Structures)
- Define and control system interfaces via Interface Control Documents covering mechanical, electrical, data communication, and EMC requirements
- Contribute to mechatronic design of command station, mobile robot, video chain, and embedded sensor subsystems
- Support integration of heterogeneous subsystems including video acquisition, lighting, robot teleoperation, power distribution, and sensor data acquisition
- Establish end-to-end requirements traceability from stakeholder needs through verification and validation
- Prepare engineering deliverables including requirements specifications, design dossiers, test plans, validation reports, and compliance assessments
- Participate in Quality/Cost/Delivery monitoring, risk management, action tracking, and project milestone reviews
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML
- Familiarity with Verification and Validation (V&V) methodologies
- Background in mechatronic system design or integration
- Experience with requirements management and traceability tools
