Engineer, Strategic
About this role
Constellation seeks engineers to provide advanced technical expertise and problem-solving in direct support of nuclear plant operations. This is a multi-level role (Entry, Mid, or Senior) focused on engineering analysis, equipment and system troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Manage engineering issues and ensure complete task resolution
- —Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles and industry best practices
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management
- —Verify standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- —For Mid-level: 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —For Senior: 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience and meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard requirements
- —Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
