About this role

Senior Regulatory and Licensing Engineer at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant fleet compliance. Provide advanced technical problem-solving and regulatory analysis for NRC licensing basis management, regulatory decision-making, and industry code/regulation compliance. This role requires deep expertise in nuclear regulatory frameworks and the ability to manage complex licensing activities across multiple reactor sites.

Responsibilities

—Develop, manage, and implement regulatory analyses and licensing programs in support of nuclear plant operations
—Identify and resolve regulatory issues through direct technical consultation; manage issues from initiation through closure
—Perform independent technical reviews, studies, and analyses supporting regulatory/licensing projects
—Manage licensing basis documentation, ensuring compliance with NRC regulations, industry codes, and design criteria
—Recommend process improvements, cost reductions, and regulatory burden mitigation strategies
—Support emergency response, outage activities, and departmental coverage as assigned

Qualifications

—Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field
—Minimum 6 years of professional experience
—Strong written and oral communication skills
—Ability to obtain/maintain unescorted access and pass security/medical clearance requirements

Desired

—Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or equivalent NRC certification
—Advanced technical degree or related professional certification
—Prior experience in nuclear regulatory affairs, NRC interactions, or nuclear plant licensing
