About this role

Senior Regulatory Engineer at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free nuclear electricity. In this role, you'll provide advanced regulatory and technical expertise to develop and implement regulatory analyses and programs across Constellation's nuclear fleet, driving compliance and modernization initiatives while managing the licensing basis for multiple reactor facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement regulatory analyses, activities, and programs with in-depth technical expertise
  • Identify and resolve regulatory issues through direct technical involvement and consultation with site and fleet stakeholders
  • Manage regulatory issues end-to-end from identification through resolution, ensuring proper licensing basis documentation
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, and technical analyses in support of regulatory and licensing projects
  • Verify application of design criteria, regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standard practices in all work products
  • Recommend improvements to reduce regulatory burden, improve performance, or ensure compliance with regulatory changes
  • Support emergency response activities, outage management, and operational coverage as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (nuclear, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum 6 years of professional nuclear industry experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Valid or ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear facilities (10 CFR 73.56)
  • Favorable medical examination and testing per position requirements

Desired

  • Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or NRC certification
  • Advanced technical degree (Master's) or industry certification (e.g., Health Physicist, PE license)
