Mechanical/Civil Structural Engineer supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest producer of clean energy. This role requires expertise in nuclear codes, regulations, and engineering analysis to solve complex technical problems at nuclear facilities. Available at Mid-level ($92,700–$114,000) or Senior ($122,400–$154,000) level.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis and technical programs supporting nuclear plant systems and structures
- —Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve equipment and system problems using engineering principles and nuclear industry codes
- —Perform independent engineering research, reviews, and analyses in support of technical projects; recommend equipment improvements and design modifications
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining configuration management and adherence to design criteria, procedures, and regulatory codes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
Mid-level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience. Senior: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience. Must maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements and pass medical examination in accordance with position duties.
Desired
10 CFR 50.59 qualification and Configuration Change Project Management experience; construction experience and working with union labor; prior experience in planning and execution of decommissioning projects.
