Engineer, Mechanical
About this role
Constellation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. This role involves engineering problem-solving, technical decision-making, and responsibility for equipment and system optimization at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer levels. You will work on mechanical systems critical to reactor safety and plant efficiency.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Manage engineering issues and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work
- —Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles and ensuring proper configuration management
- —Ensure standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and comply with code changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, outage activities and other assignments as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- —Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, with favorable medical examination and/or testing
Desired
- —2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (for Mid-level)
- —5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (for Senior-level)
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
