About this role

Constellation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. This role involves engineering problem-solving, technical decision-making, and responsibility for equipment and system optimization at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer levels. You will work on mechanical systems critical to reactor safety and plant efficiency.

Responsibilities

—Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
—Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
—Manage engineering issues and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work
—Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles and ensuring proper configuration management
—Ensure standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications
—Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
—Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and comply with code changes
—Support emergency response, departmental coverage, outage activities and other assignments as directed

Qualifications

—Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
—Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, with favorable medical examination and/or testing
