About this role
Constellation operates the nation's largest clean energy fleet and seeks Engineers at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior level to provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert, develop and implement engineering analyses and programs, and contribute directly to the safe, reliable operation of multiple nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct involvement and subject matter expert consultation
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles under supervision or independently as appropriate to level
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or ensure regulatory compliance
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
- —2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level); 5+ years for Senior level
- —Experience in design and modification of turbines, motors, pumps, heaters, transformers, generators, and related equipment
- —Disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural, or Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering
