Required qualifications
B.S. Degree in Engineering or closely related scientific/physical science discipline associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience. Ability to perform structural and seismic analysis in accordance with nuclear codes. Proficiency in PC use and applications. Experience requirements: Engineer I (0+ years); Engineer II (2+ years); Engineer III (4+ years); Senior Engineer (6+ years, 5+ with PE); Senior Lead Engineer (7+ years, 6+ with PE).

Design authority role at a nuclear power facility responsible for maintaining design basis documentation, developing cost-effective modification designs, and supporting safe plant operation. Candidates at multiple levels (Engineer I through Senior Lead) considered based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain design basis and support licensing basis for assigned site
- Provide cost-effective modification designs to improve plant, system, or equipment performance
- Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, engineering, and other site organizations
- Support safe, reliable operation by identifying and resolving issues via corrective action and work management processes
- Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures
- Serve as design authority for the site
- Serve on outage engineering support teams as necessary
- Attend training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform required group functions
Preferred qualifications
Engineering analysis software experience; Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite in Killona, Louisiana. Up to 25% travel required. Available for additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, and emergencies.
