About this role
Engineering Coordinator at Waterford 3 Nuclear Station (PWR) supporting the Engineering Department with Maintenance Rule compliance, performance improvement initiatives, and training administration. This role bridges engineering leadership, system engineering, and operations to maintain NRC regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement across the station.
Responsibilities
- —Coordinate departmental performance improvement initiatives and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions
- —Administer the Maintenance Rule Program (10 CFR 50.65) including (a)(1) and (a)(2) evaluations, performance criteria monitoring, and functional failure assessments
- —Maintain awareness of equipment and programmatic performance trends; support data analysis and PRA coordination
- —Manage Engineering Department training needs, qualifications, and continuing training requirements; serve as liaison with Training Department
- —Coordinate departmental document control, action tracking, condition reports, and preparation for NRC audits and inspections
- —Assist with outage preparation and execution, including coordination with Preventive Maintenance, Engineering, and Outage Management
- —Maintain strong working knowledge of station processes, procedures, and engineering workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience in nuclear plant engineering support or program coordination. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to interpret technical information, regulatory requirements, and programmatic documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and station software tools (Maximo, eB, PI, Action Tracking tools).
Desired
Experience in Engineering, Work Management, Training, or Performance Improvement within a nuclear facility. Familiarity with the Maintenance Rule (10 CFR 50.65) and related fleet procedures. Experience managing technical or regulatory programs.
Location
Onsite at Waterford 3 Nuclear Station, Killona, Louisiana; up to 25% travel; non-bargaining unit position
