Engineer, Analyst Valve Specialist
About this role
Advanced technical analyst providing specialized valve engineering expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for complex problem-solving related to valve systems, technical decision-making, and ensuring compliance with nuclear industry codes and regulations (10 CFR, ASME standards). Role available at Entry, Mid, or Senior level.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement valve engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve valve equipment and system problems
- —Perform initial or complete task management of engineering issues related to valve systems and configuration
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and standard design criteria
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory and technical projects
- —Recommend valve equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
For Entry Level (E01): Bachelor's degree in technical field OR Associate's degree in technical field with 1+ years nuclear/related experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years nuclear experience. For Mid-Level (E02): Bachelor's degree in technical field with 2+ years nuclear/related experience OR Associate's degree with 3+ years nuclear/related experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years nuclear experience. For Senior Level (E03): Bachelor's degree in technical field with 5+ years nuclear/related experience OR Associate's degree with 7+ years nuclear/related experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years nuclear experience (5+ at exempt level). Working knowledge of valve engineering processes and systems required for Mid and Senior levels. Maintain minimum access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing as applicable to position duties.
