Engineer, Analyst Sr. - (OAD)
About this role
Senior-level engineering analyst role at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant operations. You will perform advanced technical problem-solving on reactor systems and plant equipment, manage complex engineering analyses, and ensure compliance with NRC regulations and industry codes (ASME, IEEE). This is a hands-on technical role requiring independent judgment on safety-significant issues.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs supporting plant operations
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical consultation and root cause analysis
- —Manage engineering issues from initial assessment through completion, ensuring adherence to design criteria, procedures, and applicable codes (ASME, 10 CFR, NEI)
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of regulatory compliance and technical projects
- —Recommend equipment upgrades, design modifications, and process improvements to enhance safety, performance, reduce costs, and address regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, refueling outages, maintenance activities, and other departmental assignments as directed
- —Maintain configuration management and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all technical work and documentation
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field with 5+ years nuclear/related industry experience, OR Associate's degree with 7+ years nuclear/related experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years nuclear experience (5 years at exempt level)
- —Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems specific to assigned functional area (reactor systems, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control, etc.)
- —Ability to maintain unescorted access/security clearance and pass medical examination as required
- —Strong technical writing and communication skills; ability to prepare engineering reports and justify technical decisions to management and regulators
Location
Onsite at Constellation nuclear plant facility. Must maintain NRC unescorted access authorization and pass baseline medical examination. Availability for emergency response, refueling outages, and weekend/off-hours support as required.
