Electrical Engineering Analyst
About this role
Electrical Engineering Analyst supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation's Quad Cities Generating Station. You'll perform advanced technical problem-solving on electrical systems, manage engineering projects, and make critical technical decisions to ensure safe, reliable nuclear facility operations. This role requires onsite presence and includes emergency response responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement electrical engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical involvement and consultation with plant operations and engineering teams
- —Manage engineering issues from initial assessment through completion, ensuring compliance with design criteria, NRC regulations, and technical specifications
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses on electrical systems in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment upgrades, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and refueling outage activities as directed
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to industry codes and practices
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field and 5 years of nuclear or related industry experience; OR Associate's degree in technical field and 7 years of nuclear or related industry experience; OR High school diploma/GED and minimum 8 years of nuclear or related experience (5 years at exempt level)
- —Working knowledge of electrical theory, power systems, instrumentation and control systems, and engineering processes required for nuclear facility operations
- —Meet unescorted access or minimum access requirements per 10 CFR 73.56
- —Pass favorable medical examination/testing and meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard requirements for nuclear power plant personnel
Desired
- —Working knowledge of electrical theory demonstrated through electrician, controls technician, or electrical maintenance experience
- —Experience with nuclear safety-related systems and 10 CFR Part 50 compliance
Location
Onsite at Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, IL; includes emergency response on-call support and participation in refueling outages.
