About this role

Electrical engineer providing technical leadership for nuclear plant support systems and equipment at Entergy's fleet. Own assigned electrical systems to achieve high reliability, develop long-range maintenance strategies, support Operations and Maintenance teams, and drive design improvements across multiple engineering levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system ownership and advocacy for assigned electrical systems to optimize equipment reliability
  • Conduct proactive performance monitoring, trending, and system walk downs; review Operating Experience from EN Fleet and industry sources
  • Develop work plans, long-range planning, and life-cycle management strategies; prioritize corrective actions and preventive maintenance
  • Interface with Maintenance and Operations to develop cost-effective maintenance strategies and support troubleshooting of significant events
  • Support configuration and design changes; develop engineering products to defined standards
  • Participate in on-line and refueling outage teams and outage engineering support as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent scientific/physical science discipline (or equivalent work experience). Nuclear power experience required: 0+ years (Engineer I), 2+ years (Engineer II), 4+ years (Engineer III), 6+ years (Senior Engineer), 8+ years (Senior Lead Engineer). Proficiency with PC and standard applications required.

Desired

SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR. Professional Engineering License.

Onsite in Killona, Louisiana; up to 25% travel
