About this role

Electrical Engineer supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest clean energy producer. You'll provide technical expertise in electrical systems, equipment diagnostics, and plant infrastructure improvements while ensuring compliance with nuclear regulatory standards and design criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement electrical engineering analyses and programs supporting plant operations
  • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through technical consultation and root cause analysis
  • Provide engineering leadership for short- and long-term projects impacting site electrical systems and operations
  • Perform independent research, studies, and analyses on technical projects (power distribution, protection systems, controls)
  • Ensure proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, codes, and nuclear regulatory procedures
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, design improvements, and modifications to enhance performance and regulatory compliance
  • Support emergency response, on-call coverage, and outage activities as directed

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Medium and high voltage power distribution experience (generators, exciters, power transformers)
  • Electrical protection, controls, and relay system expertise
  • Plant electrical distribution systems knowledge (switchgear, buses, feeders)
  • Power flow analysis and configuration management experience
  • Prior nuclear plant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or EIT certification
