Director Site Engineering
About this role
Director-level engineering leadership role at a Constellation nuclear power facility. Oversee the site engineering function including system engineering, design engineering, programs, and administration. Lead and develop a team of engineering professionals while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance at a commercial nuclear power plant.
Responsibilities
- —Provide overall management of site engineering function including System Engineering, Design Engineering, Engineering Programs, and Engineering Administration
- —Manage performance and development of site engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives
- —Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance reviews for Site Engineering
- —Fulfill managerial responsibilities for assigned staff including employment, development, compensation, and performance evaluation
- —Ensure consistent and effective workforce practices through assigned supervisors and functions
- —Manage execution of Architect/Engineer services for the site pertaining to the engineering function
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, outage activities, and other assignments as directed by management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science OR Active/Inactive Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license
- —12 years overall experience including 4 years power plant, 4 years nuclear power plant experience, and 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- —Active SRO license, inactive SRO license, SRO certification, or plant operational knowledge consistent with engineering manager requirements
- —Meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants
- —Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing per position duties
Desired
- —Professional Engineer Registration
- —Team-driven experience in a matrixed environment
Location
Onsite at nuclear power station facility; on-call for emergency response and outage support activities.
