About this role

Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy, is seeking a Design Engineer, Mechanical to support nuclear plant operations. This is a multi-level position available at Entry ($87k), Mid-level ($110k), or Senior ($154k) depending on experience. You'll perform mechanical design and engineering analysis tasks critical to safe, compliant nuclear facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering products in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, NRC), and regulatory requirements
  • Perform mechanical design and engineering analysis tasks assigned by supervision
  • Support engineering work functions including design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Respond to emergency situations, provide departmental coverage, and support refueling outage activities as directed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • For Entry level: Current unescorted access or ability to obtain facility access
  • For Mid-level (E02): 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
  • For Senior (E03): 5+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience
  • Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Desired

  • Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree or hands-on experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
