Required qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, scientific discipline related to power plant operations, or Accounting; or equivalent work experience
- Tiered experience requirement: 0+ years (Specialist I), 2+ years (Specialist II), or 4+ years (Specialist III) in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, production, or finance
- Basic understanding of Project Management or Project Controls concepts
- Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and standard computer software
About this role
Cost & Project Controls Specialist supporting nuclear operations at Entergy's Killona, Louisiana facility. Responsible for budget management, cost control, project cost tracking, and financial reporting on nuclear maintenance and capital projects. Position available at Specialist I (0+ years), II (2+ years), or III (4+ years) level based on nuclear industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Promote safe behavior and establish leading safety indicators across project teams; participate in site emergency response organization
- Set up and maintain control systems to record, track, and report budgets, change orders, actual spend, estimate-to-complete, and variance analysis
- Gather, consolidate, and produce accurate cost, progress, and performance data with timely reporting to management
- Provide clear, timely project status reports and presentations; identify and escalate issues impacting schedule or budget
- Coordinate with functional departments and Supply Chain to ensure timely contract information flow and achievement of project budget/timeline objectives
- Manage cost certainty, control project costs, and identify/mitigate financial and schedule risks
Preferred qualifications
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or business discipline related to financial reporting
- Experience in operating nuclear power plant environment
- 3+ years equivalent work experience in nuclear finance or project controls
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, written/verbal communication, and conflict resolution

Onsite at Killona, Louisiana; up to 25% travel; no relocation assistance offered
