Corrective Action Specialist (Associate - Senior)
About this role
Associate to Senior-level corrective action specialist supporting nuclear safety and reliability at D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant. Responsibilities include Corrective Action Program (CAP) management, condition evaluations, event analysis, self-assessments, and performance monitoring. Role requires CAP software expertise and industry engagement to maintain station compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- —Assist with Performance Improvement Programs including Corrective Action Program software navigation, meeting coordination, procedure reviews, and information management
- —Complete Condition Evaluations and lower-level corrective action program assignments; assist with Cause Evaluations and higher-level assignments
- —Participate in self-assessments, benchmarking activities, and development of training programs
- —Interface with industry contacts through conference calls, industry meetings, and networking at other stations
- —Update Performance Indicators and information reports at station level
- —Chair Initial Screening Committee and Operating Experience Screening Committee meetings and process screened items in software
Qualifications
- —Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, or completion of technical training program, or relevant nuclear experience (1-4 years depending on level)
- —Fluent user of CAP software and business programs such as Microsoft Office
- —One year of relevant nuclear plant experience (Associate level); Two years in nuclear Performance Improvement (Mid-level); Three years in nuclear Performance Improvement (Senior level)
- —Effective written and verbal communication skills
- —Strong interpersonal skills
- —High attention to detail
- —Permanent residence within 45-minute safe drive time to D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant
Desired
- —Cause Evaluation, Lead Assessor, or instructor qualifications (Mid and Senior levels)
- —Knowledge of current industry trends in performance improvement
- —Experience with performance improvement program databases
Location
Onsite at D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant, Bridgman, Michigan. May perform plant walk downs with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and radiation. Travel may be required for Mid and Senior levels. Must maintain permanent residence within 45-minute drive time. Work is primarily sedentary with occasional standing and walking.
