Required qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting

About this role
Oklo is a advanced fission technology company seeking a Corporate Development Associate to drive strategic growth through M&A, partnerships, and investments. This role supports the company's mission to commercialize safe, compact nuclear reactors by identifying, evaluating, and executing transactions that accelerate technology development and market adoption.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for target companies and transaction scenarios
- Conduct valuation analyses using DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company multiples
- Lead and support cross-functional due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with legal, finance, product, and business teams on deal structuring and negotiations
- Assist in integration planning and transaction execution
- Identify and evaluate M&A, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities aligned with advanced fission technology goals
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Work closely with executive leadership and business unit heads to assess strategic priorities
- Maintain relationships with bankers, VCs, founders, and nuclear/energy ecosystem players
- Document work using modern tools and write technical reports
Preferred qualifications
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate independently and take initiative
- Prior exposure to or experience in nuclear, energy, or startups
- Deep curiosity about markets, emerging business models, and investment trends
Location, schedule, and travel
Remote with required travel to Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice quarterly; first two weeks of onboarding required in-person at headquarters.
