Required qualifications

Currently pursuing or holding a Bac +5 engineering degree (eligible for 2–3 year apprenticeship)

Foundational knowledge of NDT/END methods, physical measurements, and materials science

Autonomous, rigorous work style with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in team environments

Fluent English (written and spoken)

Valid French driving license (Permis B)

About this role

Apprentice engineer position in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT/END) at Westinghouse's Marseille facility. You will develop NDT procedures, lead surface inspection innovation projects, and conduct qualification testing under experienced engineer mentorship. This is a 2–3 year apprenticeship program (Bac +5 level) combining classroom learning with hands-on nuclear industry experience.

Responsibilities

Learn and apply NDT methods: ultrasonic testing, dye penetrant inspection, visual inspection, dimensional analysis, and imprint techniques

Develop and document bilingual NDT control procedures with technical specifications and justifications

Participate in NDT innovation projects and process development initiatives

Conduct qualification testing and participate in implementation of surface inspection methods

Travel to Westinghouse workshops, French and international nuclear sites, and client facilities as required

Preferred qualifications

Prior experience in nuclear industry or nuclear supply chain

Familiarity with EDF (French nuclear utility) operations or standards

Location, schedule, and travel

Based in Marseille, France. Frequent travel required to Westinghouse workshops, nuclear sites in France and internationally, and client facilities.
