Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years as project manager leading medium or high-complexity projects to completion (or equivalent: 3 years technical/engineering + 2 years project management)
- Westinghouse Advanced Project Manager qualification completed
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent external certification; internal candidates must meet PMP eligibility
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in Schedule Theory and Cost Management methodologies
- Competency with MS Project and Primavera P6
About this role
Advanced Project Manager at Westinghouse overseeing medium-complexity nuclear energy projects or major work packages within complex programs. Lead cross-functional teams of 5–10 members through all project lifecycle phases (planning, execution, monitoring, closure), manage customer and stakeholder relationships, and ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards and change management protocols.
Responsibilities
- Complete project planning including scope definition, schedule development, and cost baseline establishment
- Own overall project success across scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, and communications management
- Manage earned value analysis, cost forecasting, and expenditure reviews against approved baselines
- Serve as primary interface to customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal Westinghouse departments
- Interpret and implement contract/project requirements and changes using integrated change management processes
- Develop and maintain project databases and documentation management systems
- Close projects through archival of financial, scheduling, and resource records across company systems
- May serve as Technical Inputs Lead for medium-complexity proposal projects
- May assume Deputy Project Manager role on complex programs with Program Manager guidance
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with manufacturing business practices including operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and material management
