Admin Asst I - II
About this role
Administrative Assistant I or II supporting departmental operations at Entergy Louisiana, a major US nuclear utility. You'll handle clerical work, records management, computer support, and provide critical assistance during reactor outage restoration activities. This role requires flexibility to support scheduled and unscheduled outages, including out-of-town travel.
Responsibilities
- —Perform all phases of computer clerical support for assigned department
- —Create and maintain files, records, reports, maps, and charts
- —Operate standard office equipment and company computer systems
- —Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, maintaining professionalism under stressful conditions
- —Create and assist with special projects involving sensitive and confidential data handling
- —Provide support for outage restorations during scheduled and non-scheduled hours, including out-of-town travel
- —Plan and layout work details for departmental operations
- —Train personnel on departmental functions and policies
- —Review work of others and ensure adherence to departmental policies
- —Exercise independent decision-making within defined role scope
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent
- —General knowledge of clerical work and all phases of work performed
- —Some knowledge of utility operations practices and regulations
- —Good verbal and written communication skills
- —Proficient in company computer programs and terminal applications
- —Good analytical skills to assist supervisors in reviewing documents (payroll, budget, etc.)
- —Ability to work under stressful conditions
- —Knowledge of company organizational operations
- —Valid vehicle operator's license
- —Necessary major life activities: seeing, hearing, and speaking
- —Strength and endurance adequate to discharge assigned duties
- —Successful completion of EEI SASS test
- —Pass mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing (Safety Sensitive position)

Location
Onsite at Port Allen, Louisiana (Entergy's Louisiana nuclear facility). Up to 25% travel required. Must be available to support reactor outage restorations during scheduled and non-scheduled hours.
